I'll Still Hold Your Hand

I’m doubting if I’m right this time
As I see you bent at a dead end
I want to come to you
But won’t you fool me again?

You’re eyes... they have learned to fear
And suddenly have come to tear
They still twinkle as you speak
But something’s shredded you down to bits

If you should cry tonight, would you
Want my hand on your shoulder?
You’ve hurt me this way before but
I wouldn’t want this for you ... this
unwanted winter

It’s a cruel world we live in
Everyone’s fighting over a piece of bliss
It was a tender love I gave in
And one I’ll surely miss

I’ve cried and died, you laughed at me
And they all laughed with you
I tell myself turning away
Is the only thing left to do

Far away I watch you crying
Makes me pause; still feels like dying Friend,
I do not understand
When no one else is around you
I’ll still hold your hand
