My mind played tricks on me but I didn’t give in,
I tenderly cherished and trained it to begin
to see things the way things will be,
good things happening to me.
I can vividly see these things taking place.
I look at the person and see my face
and all the things of which I dreamed
and remember how far off they seemed.
I’ve not been idle from doing my part.
I prepare my body spirit and heart,
pushing the negative way behind,
keeping my path clear,
yet should I find
that any obstacle has come my way,
it’ll make me better than I was yesterday.
So onward I go aiming toward galaxies.
