Sons and Daughters;
Mothers and Fathers;
Brothers and Sisters;
Spouses and Lovers;
Thousands of families are now ...
ONE!
Amidst mortal tragedy
by fanatics’ quest.
We ask the reason,
“Why?”
To no avail,
for this is an illogical deed.
Why should the innocent
have to die?
Others may play
their insane scenarios
to condone such sorted,
murderous acts,
but in the end
they shall learn
that the Supreme above
has the final say.
We, ourselves,
must remember
that vengeance
is not ours to seek ...
we are only mortals.
We do not possess
infinite measure of justice ...
only the divine
can pass just retribution
in fair force
and permanent attack.
Our leaders may bend
to the crying masses,
being human
and moved by such emotions.
In the end,
such violence
will defeat just cause.
If there is to ever be
a World Democracy,
we must be the Leader,
not the Avenger.
We must cater to
the needs of all people,
not to a select few.
We must not give in
to social intolerance,
nor to ethnic prejudice.
If we do,
such tragedy is
destined to repeat.
If we Americans
truly want
an equal society,
we must mature
and understand the needs
of the downtrodden
outside our domain,
or,
our once safe haven
will never be again.
For the sake of our children
and their children’s future,
and in memory of the ...
Sons and Daughters;
Mothers and Fathers;
Brothers and Sisters;
Spouses and Lovers;
We must band
together and communicate.
That for once
the Earth will be as
ONE ...
We are One!
One People ...
One World ...
One Life ...
ONE!
