The last two and a half minutes included David Tyree’s circus act.
Tyree outjumped Harrison in a thirty-two-yard grab on third-and-five with fifty-nine seconds left. Harrison tried to pull the ball free and at one point had it pinned to Tyree’s helmet.
Tyree’s a straight-talking, humble sort of guy: “I am a man that really has to capitalize on his few opportunities. Some things just don’t make sense and I guess you can just put that catch there with them.”
Giants receiver Amani Toomer is also straight talking: “Unbelievable. In Friday’s practice, he was dropping everything.”
