You give me Favre, baby.
I love football, I love the game, the strategy, the noise and the excitement.
But, I’ve reached a point in my life when I say what I feel.
It is the one true benefit of aging.
Brett, you have been driving everyone crazy with your inability to make a decision and stick to it.
All the talking football heads have their opinions.
Some say, Brett deserves to play if that’s what he wants.
Others say this is bordering on the ridiculous.
I’m with the bordering on ridiculous camp.
Here’s an exclusive from Femmefan.com.
The real reason Brett keeps flip-flopping on retirement, isn’t because of the way the Packers treated him, it isn’t because the Vikes have a chance to go to the Super Bowl and it isn’t because of his ego.
The real reason is that Deanna Favre wants him out from under foot.
Deanna just can’t get used to Grizzly Adams hanging around the house.
He thinks it’s okay to be smelly.
He likes watching his belly grow.
He rides his tractor and drags his muddy boots all over the carpet. Brett insists on throwing the football all over the house while Deanna is having tea with the ladies.
Face it Deanna, your country boy is just not going to make the cover of Good Housekeeping any time soon.
Brett Favre hasn’t spent 24/7 at home with Deanna, from July–January, since 1996 (when they got married).
He has been in the NFL for 19 seasons, that bond is stronger than any other. Trust me.
Ladies, you know what I’m talking about.
How do you feel when the old man decides to stay home on a day you didn’t expect him to be there?
It’s maddening, it creates issues and it takes some getting used to.
Brett give Deanna a break.
Retire after this season.
Understand, Brett, that the house is Deanna’s kingdom, not yours. Your kingdom is the football field. Find a new kingdom.
Take up coaching, take up golf, do charity work, but get the hell out of the house.
Deanna will be happy, you will be happy and the girls will be happy.
And I, will be happy when you finally stop blubbering and really, really, leave the game with your dignity.
