Vote: Designers Have Spoken Again

The 2008 AIGA Get Out the Vote design contest and campaign is coming to a close. In February, I shared my favorite posters from the 2004 campaign. You can visit them here as well. Now it’s time to see what’s been submitted to AIGA from individuals like Johanna Bjork, organizations, and even high school students.

For those of you less familiar with the AIGA, it is the professional association for design. They have invited designers from across the United States to create nonpartisan posters—and now, YouTube submissionsthat inspire the American public to participate in the electoral process and vote for a presidential candidate in the 2008 general election.

Here are some of my favorites to get you ready for November 4th. As the AIGA puts it, “Good design makes choices clear.”

The designs presented here are really clever, thanks for sharing... I understand this was a contest, and that the goal was to create posters which encourage people to vote. I have to say parenthetically though that uninformed people who don't want to vote shouldn't be encouraged to do so. They'll just dilute the votes of informed people who care. :)
It feels good to write.
