Our Future

I know it’s only a month away, but do you all realize how major this election is going to be? We could have either an inexperienced man as our President or a “Stepford Mom” as a Vice-President. Wow, never mind that he is black and she is a Mom with a pregnant daughter, a handicapped newborn, and a husband who is submissive to her. One is a war veteran Presidential candidate, and one was a single father for Vice-President. Wow, who is better for us?

So we all know that none are perfect by any means. I can live with that. What I am so tired of hearing is all the mud slinging. What is that going to prove other then getting voters like me really angry? How about they deal with the issues at hand? Who is going to help me save my home—McCain, who has a minimum of five homes? I don’t think so. Obama, who was raised by a single mom with a vice who was also a single parent when his family was tragically killed in an automobile accident? I think they have a better chance of knowing what I need than someone who is so disconnected to our needs.

I have heard stories about how Obama thinks the military and police are beneath him. Maybe? Maybe not? McCain during his acceptance speech did not say “we” when talking, he said you. He does not include himself in our problems. If you look at it like this, the amount of time in office is about equal when you look at them combined. McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden as public servants. Each has made allegations against the other. Drop the past and look at what they are going to do for us in the future. Put that in your ads. Tell me what you are going to do and not what you may have done. Talk about what is really important and that would be the next four years.

I want someone who is going to take care of what is important to me and several other millions of Americans. The economy is something that needs to be fixed now. Let’s get the ball rolling on that issue. Then we have a war we should never have been in in the first place. That was Bush, and who is supporting him? McCain is a Bush supporter. Now I don’t claim or even pretend to know everything about either candidate, but I know what I have heard on all those ridiculous ads they have. Here’s an idea—take that money and put it into our economy to get that started. Help with the mortgage crisis, because like it or not, that has to get fixed before anything else will turn around.

All these senators and congressmen are so greedy, and so are all those Wall Street people who put us in this situation for which they all should be criminally charged. They have all stolen from us. Think about it. Congress is using our money to bail out all the banks. What are we getting out of it? I will tell you: nothing. We all are worrying about our life savings, 401Ks, college funds, homes, even our Social Security, and the fat cats keep getting fatter. I am tired of listening to all the crap that they spew; bottom line is they need to talk as if they know where and who we are—the very people who have put them in that very lavish life style they have come accustomed to. Without us, they would be nothing ...

Here’s an easy way to solve it ... Not one president, but two. One from each party so neither has that power to screw us further. Something needs to be done. Whether it’s the guy with the least experience who may bring a new look on everything or someone so old that he does not see what he has helped do to the economy so far. Face it—neither is the solution. Which is the lesser of the two evils? I think it is Obama.
