Our Dear President

There seems to be an overwhelming amount of liberals on this site, and that’s just fine because that is what makes America great. But to all of you who show a great lack of support in our current president, you should be ashamed. Not for your opposing viewpoints, but for your constant jabs that don’t even touch on the political aspect of his work. Calling him stupid and saying that he cannot read or change a light bulb?

I’m sorry, but when I criticize Barack Obama, I do say, “He will be our president, however …” Maybe you could try doing this, as I often gain respect from others and I am often allowed to say my piece.

Despite what you may think of his views, you need to look at when our country really took a turn for the worse: in 2006, when Congress turned to a Democratic majority. It is my belief that the country was in worse shape after that event, and you know something? It still is! Not because of President Bush, but of the liberal Congress.

President George W. Bush also did not ruin our economy; last I checked, we do not live in a communist nation where the leader has direct effect on the economy. Sorry, but that’s the way it is.

I am, and always will be, an unapologetic supporter of President George W. Bush.

That was 1980's........to 1984.....I was only trying to point out how even then it is just too easy for kids to get permission from hell from what is suposedly called our educational system. It was about 1985 when I had gone to seek help from that counsler i had had in High school. That's the kind of people our kids are learning to trust..............and for me that was one of three from school........that was back then..........I am just one person. Supporting education is very important to me, however; it must be more toward back to the basics, these zealous feeling self righteous cooks that have been given the roles to teach doctrines of there own beliefs it just has to go. Leave that for extra ciricular, self education. That's exactly another reason why I say Aryes........out, just like Church Hill, but he (Ayres) is much worse. The three r's..........

Pam, that is so true.............I hope not but, well I guess we shall see. The parents do have to take back th repsonsibilities.....thier giving the rights of the teachings of their own family traditions away quite frankly, and that is very disappointing. I don't believe abstenence will ever be the answer, definatly not for all, and brith control should be taught. I just remember, this was just in the 1080, 1981 as a matter of fact, but my counsler would let my friend and I take a leave of absense to go to the birth control clinic, with out reporting it. I was thirteen. Almost fourteen I think actually, he even tried sticking his toungue down my throat when I went to visit hin later on in life on advise about the abusive pastor I had in my life. I give much creedence to teachers and all, but I think they just have too much power, basics are not being taught any longer, our educational base is losing it's foundational ethics I think. It should be moreback to the basics. Sports, anoth ?

CJ, the problem is that parents have abrogated their responsibilities insofar as a thorough sex education is concerned. Perhaps they lack the knowledge themselves. Our young people deserve a good, thorough sex education, including birth control and HIV prevention (and that means ALL options, not just abstinence). They need to have all the myths dispelled. There is NO other way that we will lower the out-of-wedlock birthrate, this horrendous epidemic of children having children.

Rge, the difference between us is that you believe that homosexuality is something that one does, that it is a chosen lifestyle. I believe that homosexuality is something that one is, that it is an unchosen orientation. You believe that God does not create homosexuals, and presumably you believe that one's sexual orientation is chosen after puberty. I believe that God does create, or perhaps more correctly, allows, for naturally occurring homosexuality, and that it is present even in early childhood, before puberty, before there is even an understanding of what "sex" is all about. I'm not sure what your premise of belief is. Mine is based on my own understanding of God, on the science that currently exists and is being added to, and on personal experience. No, I am not homosexual, but my cousin is. She knew from early on that she was "different", that she preferred females to males. She tried desperately to "become" hetero while in her teens, which was an unmitigated failure.

And I ABSOLUTELY do NOT want to see the PRINCE and the PRINCE in my grand nephews, or nieces, or nephews classes..they have the right to learn about there own sexuality, and we teach too much of the regular stuff already. Most of that should be coming out of the home too, not from schools that are paid by government. This is a morale issue, and morally speaking, I don't think it is the Government issue except when it comes to abuse or child rape. Parents need to step more up to the plate for that as well. They need to counsil and educate.
