Get Out the Tech Vote: Letter to Obama CTO

The Internet and social media really changed the way I experienced the recent presidential elections. I was excited to hear after Obama was elected that he plans to bring in a chief technology officer (CTO).

Technology impacts every faucet of my life. As someone who has been in the technology field for sixteen years—and a personal user of technology—I’m looking forward to seeing how this man/woman implements technology policies that will help continue to spur innovation in our country and around the world to help provide a better world for generations to come.

I work for Intel (FYI: we make majority of the processors, or “brains,” in computers/laptops). Our CTO, Justin Rattner, is sponsoring a survey for consumers to tell him what they think should be the top priorities in the area of technology and healthcare, education, environment, and broadband Internet access. Justin will then take the results and incorporate them into a letter he is sending the Obama CTO.
