I firmly believe men and women should be equal in the face of the law, but I also like guys to open doors for me. Is there room for both in today’s world?

Did Feminism Kill Chivalry?

The good thing about dating a feminist is that since they want to be treated as equals, you don't have to open their doors, pay for them, be the one to trudge through the snow or mud and pull the car up for them, be the one who doesn't get under the umbrella, etc. It's also cheaper since you don't have to pay for their meals, movie tickets, etc. It's a lot less work.

Women will never be equal to men if men simply view them as sexual objects... All you have to do is watch the tv, read magazines, etc to see how women are encouraged to concentrate on their sexual attractiveness especially when they are young rather than use their intelligence. I am a feminist, but I also value chivalry, it's just hard to find these days when dating and relationships seem to be mostly about sex and attractiveness. http://www.healthproductreviewers.com/nitric‐oxide‐rush‐reviews.html
Another obstacle is how we shy away from the word feminist.Until we embrace that word we willbe held back.We must embace it and all that it implies.Femi Nazi too.Embrace it and disarm those against us.That's the only weapon those against our equality have.I hate the phrase "I'm not a feminist but..." I am working on a piece titled "I AM a feminist but.." BTW,I love your pieces .You are smart and funny. And you tackle some tough issues.Very brave.Thank you.
Men and women ARE equal. This is the whole point of feminism that many do not understand. We have different strenghts. But those strenghts are equally valuable.I hate to see women competing physically with men. That is not what feminism is about.I also love when men open doors for me.I love it when they fix things for me.I love it when they lift things for me.I love it how they seem to think I can't manage my problems without them.I love how they show off when I call them strong, handsome, funny, charming.I love these things and more about men.I do nto want to take that away from them. What would we do without them ?I hate to think. But women have a long way to go still.I don't even think men are our biggest obstacle to being considered equal.I think we are .Women accepting our equality is our biggest obstacle.Sure, there are some pigs who want to put women down. But,I don't consider them a threat.I laugh about them mostly. To do otherwise only confirms that we don't consider ourselves equal.
