Springtime in Alaska is a welcome season especially after the nine months of the cold, dark, long winters here.
We are up to thirteen plus hours of daylight and are gaining an average of seven minutes daily. It’s so exciting.
During our winter, we average four hours of daylight. It can be very depressing, of course twenty-four hours of daylight has its setbacks as well.
I love to rise early go out on my deck with my cup of coffee, watch the world around slowly come alive, of course its only fifteen degrees, but if its nice we should get up to forty-some degrees.
It’s amazing that the trees and shrubs can survive our winters but then again it’s amazing that we Alaskans survived it also.
