Several months ago, I mentioned in my Public Profile that I had published a novel titled Getting Enough. It is inspired by my over-the-top, larger-than-life Jewish family. It tells the story of a mangled marital and sexual relationship that manages to heal itself against almost insurmountable odds. It also relates the personal journey of a very beautiful, middle-aged woman who breaks free from the straitjacket of puritanical morality in which she has been trapped all her life. She discovers in the process, to her astonishment, that she is falling in love with the very husband she thought she hated after 26 years of an acrimonious marriage. Reactions to my novel have been extremely encouraging. While all have been enthusiastic about it, different people have reacted very differently to its contents. One lady, the Finance Manager at the bank where we have an account told me she had to stop reading after every few pages because she was laughing so much. Another person, a former student and very sensitive gentleman, said that he couldn't read it before going to bed because the violence of the verbal altercations made him too agitated. One critic called my novel "a work of genius," which, of course, I found very flattering. Another person, a good friend, said it was "suitably dirty fun." Why not find out for yourselves? You can order the book either from my book order page of my publisher's website: www.strategicbookpublishing.com/GettingEnough.html. or through Amazon.com. It can also be ordered through Barnes and Noble or Borders. Whether the book moves you deeply or makes you roar with laughter (or both), I think you will find it a stimulating read.
All the best
