Wet has been around for a long time as a leading brand of personal sexual lubricants with a lube for every type of sexual activity you can imagine. Recently, they came out with an all “natural” line of personals lubricants that I was very interested in trying called Wet Naturals. Seriously, I have so many lubes it is truly hard to get excited about a lubricant product for a review, but the Wet Naturals line actually intrigued me.
Trigg Laboratories promotes Wet Naturals as “formulated especially for women by women… designed to enhance a woman’s natural moisture… [and] work[s] well for those with sensitive skin.”
All the Wet Naturals are paraben, glycerin and sugar free which is important as many women have allergies or find parabens irritating and glycerin (like sugar) is a common cause for yeast infections for women who are prone to them. I am all for using products with less chemical (body burden) ingredients and more natural ingredients as well, and Wet Naturals are enriched with botanical ingredients, antioxidants, vitamins and Aloe Vera.
Wet Naturals come in three formulations. Wet Naturals Silky Supreme (silicone based), Wet Naturals Beautifully Bare (water based), and Wet Naturals Sensual Strawberry (water based). Since I am not a fan of flavored products I am only reviewing the first two, but Sensual Strawberry is basically the same as Beautifully Bare with added flavors and sweeteners (Aspartame).
Most people, depending on who you ask, like either water-based lubricants over silicone or visa-versa. I actually like both types of lubricants equally, depending on what I am using them for. I do however “prefer” using water-based lubricants as they are more “natural” than silicone-based lubes, and I have that whole “body burden” issue thing.
Wet Naturals Silky Supreme (silicone based)
Wet Naturals Silky Supreme is silicone based which means it is much longer lasting than a water-based lube. If you were testing this against Beautifully Bare (which I did) then Silky Supreme will win the longevity race every time. It is actually very cool to compare lubes, one on each hand as your rub a small amount of the lubricant between your fingers. This is how I was taught to show customers the different qualities in lubricants which is usually physically apparent right away when you are comparing a silicone lube with a water-based one. Even after wiping the silicone lube away you can feel that the slippery texture is still coating your fingertips. This is how the lube acts on the genitals as well. It coats the surface leaving it slick and ready for action, and lasts a long time even after it has rubbed away.
