Cricket Broadband Service Maybe Maybe Not

Helpfulness: Star_fullStar_fullStar_fullStar_fullStar_full
Brand/Maker:
Cricket Cellular Company
Product:
broadband service
I saw a commercial for Cricket wireless broadband service.  Take it anywhere.  Sounds great so I called Cricket to order their new broadband service.  Spoke with a nice young man.  Paid my money.  I asked for overnight delivery and paid an extra $18 for the service.  And I waited.  When it became clear that it wasn't coming, I called Cricket back.  I was told that they would call me back.  And I waited.  Finally I called them again.  After I was transferred around the company, (I spoke with eight different people including tech support).  I was finally told that the modem was out of stock and that no one knew when it would be back in stock.  (I later learned that the sales department was unaware of this and they were still selling the modems.)  I asked for a refund.  I was told that there was no one authorized to give me a refund.  I would need to wait until they called me back in 24-48 hrs and then that person might, MIGHT, be authorized to give me a refund.
So lets get this straight.  They sold me a product that they don't have.  They aren't sure when they will have the product that they sold me.  They won't give me my money back for that product that not only don't I have, they don't have it either.  Well, this is a great beginning to our relationship.  So if you are looking for prompt delivery and great customer service, Cricket may not be what you are looking for.

PS. I still have not received a modem or a refund.
