Virginia author Connie Lapallo is a descendent of these settlers. Based on genealogical and historical records, in Connie’s historical fiction, Dark Enough to See the Stars in a Jamestown Sky, you are transported to late 1500’s England. I read "Dark Enough to See the Stars in a Jamestown Sky" about a year ago and I highly recommend it. It was a gripping tale of the early settlers' lives in Jamestown, Virginia. Ms. Lapallo was able to create an engaging story based on historical accuracies and facts that is difficult to put down once you start reading. The characters, their plights and their incredible bravery and strength stay with you long after you finish the book.

A good book keeps you reading until the end. A great book pulls you completely into the story, so much so that you can’t talk or think about anything else. Which book would you put in the latter category? Which changed your perspective the most? Write about it. >>
