Have you ever stopped to consider what all the married people miss out on? I know they'll say it's better their way but I love my freedom. Actually, after being married for 10 years myself once upon a time I will tell you my life is much more fun and inspirational and rewarding than my marriage was. I was married to a pretty good guy even.
Being independent and on my own is priceless to me. The rewards are endless and challenging. My favorite thing is that when I get home and lock my doors NO ONE is able to come inside my haven unless I permit them. As a wife I had to deal with that husband whether I wanted to or not.......I was legally bound to him.
That really irked me for a long time and is still with me today, after 10 years of living on my own. I'm not sure I'll ever marry again because I would have to give up so much. Maybe not, as we are all older and if the right secure man is found he will find my independence a turn on and not a threat.
I believe the majority of Alpha males need you to need them so they can control you. Therefore, a man needs to be needed to be secure. I'm 43 years old and never knew this as a young woman.
It was a long hard journey but I'd never change it for anything.
