According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, Intuition is the POWER or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge without evident rational thought or inference; a quick and ready insight. Intuition is the voice of our inner being. It could be a thought, an emotion, a physical sensation, a phrase from a book or a comment from a friend.
When I arrived to Salamanca, Spain in the year 2000, all my senses began to jump. From the distance, as I was astonished with the brilliant gold emanating from the city, I felt that was my place. I felt a sense of belonging. My stomach shrunk and my heartbeats were accelerated. The smell of the cool night breeze was so familiar that I could almost taste the flavors of the city. I knew this trip will mark a difference in my life. My inner voice alerted me. It did. We have to listen and be aware of the signs.
Are we ready? It could be confusing at first. When your intuition is guiding you, you feel the sense of knowing. How do we know? How should we track those signs to better ourselves, to make some changes, to be alert?
A journal has always worked for me. Countless pages have been the witnesses of my transformations over the years. Have one handy. Get a tape recorder. When driving, for example, and you feel that bliss, record your thoughts at that moment. You will be amazed at the insights you receive when you go back and listen.
Ask and your inner voice will give you the answers. Pay attention; be aware of your surroundings, your actions, and your thoughts. Surround yourself with like minded, positive people if you need help to develop this wonderful gift. Have fun in your life. Step outside the box. Call on your intuition and you will receive guidance.
