Attracting Greatness in Your Life

Let’s talk about one of the fastest, surefire ways to dramatically improve your personal power of attraction. We all have things that we want or need, but often the struggle to get them is daunting and overwhelming.

Granted, there is no shortage of information on this subject matter and many books have been written about attracting abundance, attracting love, attracting anything and everything you can imagine. But there is a simple and effective methodology that works every time, and is simpler than you probably think.

Sure you can spend endless time doing your affirmations (although these can work and we are a proponent of positive affirmations), you can attend countless self-help seminars, read every one of the hundreds (if not thousands) of books on the subject of “The Power of Attraction” … or you can take the easy way out and follow this simple yet highly effective concept:

Give in, give up, and give it away … Re-read that again—give in, give up, and give it away … Wow, this is a tough one for most people. We have been taught from birth to “never, never give up.” I’m sure this will generate some email responses, so let me qualify what this means. Well … what it doesn’t mean is to give up on following your dream, or completing your education, or continuing on making your relationships work. What this does mean is this: When your decision making is primarily “ego” driven, you’ll find you are swimming against the current of life. On the minor side (of being Ego driven), this means more red lights, more stubbed toes, more squabbles with friends and family, and basically less happiness on a day to day basis. Ego, some say, is a necessary component to our human makeup. But I’m not so sure this is true. Ego alienates and separates us from others, but most important, Ego causes us to have all those nasty judgments and unrealistic expectations (for ourselves and those around us).

With judgments and expectations we continuously are in the position of trying to be right. Often, life shows us that the things we count on can turn on us … the stronger our ego attachment, the harder it is to give up being right.

So first, don’t fight it, just give in and surrender, right here, right now. Continue to have good intentions and surrender to what “spirit” offers up—and start enjoying the ride.

Second, let’s move to the part about “giving up.” This is simple. The next time you are in the position of defending something, ask yourself two simple questions, “Is it my ego that needs to be right here?” and “If I remove my ego from the equation, what then becomes the best course of action?” What you’ll typically find is that giving up (your fight), and just being humble can bring huge rewards. You’re well on your way to boosting your power of attraction—but you’re not all the way there just yet.

Here’s the “give it away” part. First, let me say that this is not about giving away all your earthly possessions and becoming a homeless monk on a street corner. This is about doing everything you can to bring happiness to those around you. This can look like simple daily random acts of kindness, being there for those you care about when it’s an inappropriate time, or just making someone in your life smile. Do this as often as you can. There is just one rule, remove ego from the equation. If you need to take credit for the giving, it’s no longer giving from the heart. Be aware of your motivations (always) and be thankful and humble. Give lovingly … unconditionally.

Do these few things everyday and God, Spirit, Our Inner Source, or what ever you want to call it, will bring you a wonderful life and whatever you desire.
