Last July 4–6, 2009, my officemates Gerlie, Shalee, Laura, and I were in Boracay for our company outing. We were so excited as all women will be having fun there; the two were a mother and the other two were singles.
And I’m thinking that there would be a third time, as the saying goes: it comes in three. lol
Our 9 a.m. flight were directed to Kalibo Airport as Caticlan Airport is no longer passable due to past accidental situation. We ride two hours bus going to Jetty Port and another thirty minutes spent while traveling aboard and a tricyle. Finally, we arrived at the white beach. But before that we stop first at Sir Ronald’s place for our lunch as the Asya 2 Rest Boracay project is on-going.
We stayed at La Carmela Hotel de Boracay, empty our luggage and changed our clothes for a beach clothing and headed outside. We walked by along the shore streets, got ourselves henna, hairbraiding, eat icecream, took pictures and watch romatically the sunset
By the second day, we were in a boat ride as our tour guide guided us to Crystal Cove Island. There were two caves in the island, and the sun was so hot that we walked circling around the small island. Then we had our snorkeling time. And it was so funny because the life jacket made me afloat while others were not. And they kept laughing at me. But I was able to enjoy it for a short time.
Then we had our lunch at Pucca Beach and lots of seafood poured on our table. As for our merienda, we ordered smoothies at Jonas Shakes near at grotto. As we went home to our hotel, we passed by along stalls and souvenir shops. We buy most of the items were cellphone holder, dress for little children, clothes, short, earrings, bracelet, bags and necklace.
Suddenly, we saw the house full of seashells lamps. We went inside and noticed all beautiful adornment seashells in different styles. I saw the small painted starfish stuff; I bought the color orange. I even boasted that this kind of thing would be my wedding souvenir. Even asked the owner of the store for future reference.
