Despite the fact that this may make oyster purists’ hairs stand on end, you may wish to throw some bivalves on the barbie for summer festivities. This is a classic Australian recipe.
OYSTERS KILPATRICK
Ingredients:
- A dozen oysters on the half shell
- Worcestershire sauce
- Melted butter
- Cooked bacon bits
- Chopped chives or shallots
Directions:
- Spread out the oysters.
- Drizzle about a half a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce (and a little melted butter if you like extra decadence) into each shell.
- Lay the oysters on the grill and cook until the Worcestershire starts to bubble.
- Sprinkle with cooked bacon bits and chopped chives or shallots.
- Slurp your way into heaven.
