Caprese Heirloom Salad

Ingredients:

Mixed baby greens

Fresh mozzarella pearls (little baby mozzarella balls)

Mini heirloom tomatoes

Balsamic vinegar

Basil-infused olive oil

Directions:

1. Place greens on plate, sprinkle mozzarella pearls liberally over greens and place three or four whole mini tomatoes on top

2. Toss a bit of balsamic vinegar on salad and drizzle lightly with basil oil

3. Add salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

If you’re feeling like an adventurous gourmand, make your very own basil oil. If perchance you don’t feel up to this complicated undertaking, my favorite basil oil hails from stellacadente.com.
