Salads are, by definition supposed to be healthy. The dressing for this one has quite a bit of sugar. However, it is not a must that you use this dressing. It is best with a vinaigrette, so if you find something else you love, use that!
Ingredients:
8 cups of lettuce (baby spinach is the best with this recipe)
2 cups of sweetened and dried cranberries
8 ounces of strawberries, quartered
1 large mango peeled, pitted, and cubed
1/2 cup of white chopped onions
1/2 cup of slivered almonds
Dressing:
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of vegetable/ canola oil
1/3 cup of balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Toss the lettuce, cranberries, strawberries, mango, onions, and almonds in a large bowl.
In a separate container, mix the sugar, oil, vinegar, and salt. Pour on salad. Enjoy!
