Pushy Shower Curtain Forces You to Be Green

I’ll admit it; I’ve been known to take the luxurious fifteen-minute shower now and then. Sustainability sometimes take a back seat when I’m enjoying a few moments of solitude.

French designer Elisabeth Buecher has found a way to help remind us that long showers waste water as well as energy used by the water heater. Her concepts for a green shower curtain might seem a little pushy, but the result is a better world for all of us. This represents what Elisabeth describes as “Design for pain and for our own good.”

Concept 1: The shower curtain slowly inflates around you, forcing you to finish your shower quickly.

Concept 2: Spikes in the shower curtain slowly inflate, pushing you out of the shower.

What the hell. Seriously? Is there a shortage on kitchen-timers or something?

How about all that non biodegradable plastic you're using in the "Green Cause" Guess you just needed a bandwagon to hop on.

This first of those two shower curtains seems very very dangerous-- you couldn't use it if you were shorter than the curtain. And if you happened to be a larger person you're showers would be cut even shorter-- which unpractical. I can see things going horrible wrong with it, especially in the realm of suffocation. And the second is only practical if you have a shower set up like the one pictured.
It feels good to write.
