If Paper Towels Could Talk

Illustrator Marc Johns has been drawing and painting his entire life. His work is often sparse, whimsical and obscure. He describes himself as a traditionalist and a minimalist, often drawing on post-it notes or as seen here, in a Starbucks bathroom. His latest work and book info are available at marcjohns.com.

[This is absolute idiocy. Not because it isn't art, but because it is a waste of time. ] idiocy? why, because he's not somehow cashing in on the art? because he's taking some everyday artefact and playing with it? because he doesn't have a solely efficient-pragmatic approach to the world? looks like tom smith doesn't know how to have a little fun. lighten up buddy. only marc johns can bring this kind of creativity and spirit to paper towels. love it.
I don't care what anybody says, it' funny...keep up the fun stuff!

These are amazing. It would make my day if when I grabbed a paper towel there was a little man saying, "Peek a Boo!"--great find!

Very funny, they'd put a smile on your face if you were having a bad day and came across one in a public toilet!
It feels good to write.
