I agree taking Omega 3s and flaxseed oil and highly effective especially in menopause and using sulfate-free products. An important point is to make sure styling proiducts do not contain alcohol-if using heat. Having dry hair, I use a small amount of moisturizer mixed with my styling product-especially when in the sun-it is like a hot oil treatment. But the most important thing is to replace your shower head with a filtered one, at hardware stores, to keep the chemicals in our drinking water off you hair and scalp. Huge benefits!
My hair had become FRIZZY, no amount of conditioner, gels, or treatments seemed to make much difference. Then I started taking FISH OIL capsules with my daily vitamins, my hair has become soft and smooth again! Maybe I had some kind of deficiency, I don't know. I am just happy to be frizz-free!
Once a month I use the old standard standby of Mayo... Put on dry hair until coated, put on a shower cap and leave in hair for at least an hour, then shampoo. My hair is thick so one shampoo does it for me, if your hair is thinner you may need to wash a couple times. I've been doing this for 20 years and my hair is smooth, silky and shiney
Nexxus Therappe, ORS Replenishing Pak, and Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave-In Cream leave my hair feeling healthy and refreshed.
My best tip is Infusium Leave In Treatment Conditioner. I put it on my hair after every shower right before styling. It makes my hair soft, shiny and more manageable.
Have waist length naturally wavy hair (wanted to get a permanent and stylist wouldn't give me one - that's when you know you have a good stylist) wash it couple of times a week using shampoo and conditioner made for permanented hair. A hint from my stylist to encourage the waves. Also braid it every night before going to bed.
I have very long, red hair with highlights. My hair extends past my buttocks and I often find myself sitting on it. Theoretically, my hair should be heavily damaged with all the processing, flat ironing and blow drying I subject it to. However, my hair is soft, shiny and manageable because of all the time I invest in it. I use the Morroccan products, specifically the oil which not only smells scrumptious but is a miracle worker for the hair. I apply it before and after blow drying. I air dry my hair until merely damp, then blow dry the rest. I do a quick once over with the hot iron in the end to seal in the moisture and prevent the frizzies.Twice a week, I deep condition my hair, sleep with the conditioner wrapped first in plastic bags and then in a towel, locking in heat for the night. After a quick hair wash in the morning,my hair is as soft and manageable as could be.I ALWAYS cover my hair when in the sun, protecting it from exposure just as I do with my skin.Hydrating the body is so
During my work life wore my hair frosted, with great easy to keep short hair. After retiring, & reaching 60+, let hair grow out. Now 78, hair white with similar short, easy to keep, hair style that softens 78 year old wrinkles. Shampoo & condition often as Texas climate is rough on hair - very drying.
I use a conditioner that I got from a local shop called Mojo Spa. It makes my hair pretty strong.
I use Kenra hot spray before I blow dry my hair. It protects my hair from heat damage and makes it shiny!
