Q: Hello, DCS. Thank you for joining us today. Could you briefly introduce yourself?
A: Namaste! My penname is DCS, and I’m the author of Synarchy Book One: The Awakening. I consider myself to be a self-taught student, and my research carries me into the world of the metaphysical, quantum physics, the 2012 phenomena, conspiracy theories, and everything in-between. I find my muse right now sings the loudest among the creativity in New Orleans. A city I really love.
Q: Could you tell us about your book—Synarchy?
A: In their quest to dominate the world, a powerful crime family, the Terenzios, discovers who the real players are that control the planet, and just how far they’re willing to go to keep their hold on humanity. Because of sheer arrogance, and the fact that they may be the only ones who can, the Terenzio family decides to fight back. Now, they’ve got until December 21, 2012 to stop a sinister, centuries-old plan and give Earth a choice it was never given before.
Q: What inspired you to write this book?
A: Synarchy was the culmination of a very personal journey for me, and that urge every writer has who’s got a story to tell that just has to come out. I decided when I wrote it, I didn’t want to just entertain. I wanted to have something to say. I wanted it to make people think, and stop and go “hmmm” and maybe even find some word or concept in the book that becomes a catalyst for them on their own journey of awakening out of the mundane in life and into the practical science of magic.
Q: Do you have a favorite character in your book?
A: Stefano Terenzio. He is, without question, one of my greatest creations.
Q: 2012 and powerful bloodlines reaching back in history are the things of conspiracy theories. Have you ever received any criticism along those lines for your work?
A: Not yet, but here’s to hoping I will. I invite the criticism because that’s what gets people talking about what I think are some very important topics for our times that you won’t hear about on your nightly news channel.
Q: The title of your book is specifically Synarchy Book One. What’s in store for the future?
A: I’ve got ideas in my head for six books actually. Book Two will be The Ascension. Book Three will be SVT, Stefano Terenzio’s story. I’m collaborating with a friend of mine who is a comic artist in the hopes that I can turn that one into a graphic novel. Book Four I’d like to call The Black Widow and will be the story of primarily Liliana and Kyle. That one, though, will be co-authored and I won’t be the primary author writing that story, so it’s really got me jumping up and down in excitement. Books Five and Six will be the world about seventy-five years into the future, after the events of Book Two. I’ve got some crazy ideas for that pair.
