Q: What do you feel sets this book apart from others in the same genre?
A: There is no other book written to outline the Bible in this manner. My goal is to provide insight into the way of life that leads to the Kingdom of God as illustrated through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many church leaders have become more so motivational speaker. This book will place the sacrifice of Jesus Christ into its proper perspective.
“Jesus is for Everybody” explores the science behind the scripture, breaking concepts down into simple, everyday applications that make sense for people of every walk of life and reminds people that religion is meant to be built on a deep, personal relationship with God. Many churches have lost that relationship and thousands of Christians are floundering because they are so busy trying to be Christians that they’ve forgotten who their father is. This book revitalizes that love with an exploration of the Bible and the intimate relationship we were meant to have with God.
Q: You know the scenario – you’re stuck on an island. What book would you bring with you and why?
A: The Bible is the best book to have if I were stuck on an Island. The spiritual power contained in the written word would provide everlasting encouragement. No matter how many times it’s read, there seem to be hidden meaning revealed at any given point in life. Since establishing a higher level of knowledge about human existence, I now understand why the Bible is the best-selling book of all times.
Q: If you could go back and change one day, what would it be?
A: Although there are several things I would do differently if I could turn back the hands of time, overall I can’t remember a particular day that I would want to do over. Basically, I’ve learned not to regret for spiritual reasons. In addition, I believe that mistakes made today are the foundation for the wisdom of tomorrow.
When you believe in God, you are right where you’re supposed to be. The Bible teaches that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and called according to His purpose. Believers are taught to count it all joy. Of course that’s easier said than done. I believe abundant life is defined as an accumulation of situations and experiences, and to change one day would alter every event that occurred subsequently.
Q: Are you a different person now than you were five years ago? In what way/s?
A: Yes. Five (5) years ago I was struggling to find a comfort zone in life. For many years I’ve felt like a fish out of water and tried desperately to connect on some level. I persevered through psychotherapy, medication and various other coping mechanisms to relieve anxiety and depression. I never felt like I belonged. In hindsight, I got married for the idea of family. I wanted to feel a sense of completeness that I never experienced before. But no matter how hard I tried, it was not going to happen that way. My plan for joy was not God’s plan.
Although therapy and medication were a temporary solution, they were not meant to be a long-term fix. Now I am more spiritually grounded. My prayer is that God surrounds me with people who love Him and love other people. Writing this book cemented my new direction as a messenger for God through Jesus Christ.
