Six months ago, you left here because you needed to. We miss you sister/friend. Your boys are now fifteen and seven. Matt just turned sixteen. They are growing and the world did not stop because you left. There is not a day that goes by that John and I do not think of you. We talk at least twice a week and remember the summer of 2006. We laugh and shed a tear or two. Then we say how much we both miss you and when we get to heaven, we are both going to kick your butt. You left us without warning and without cause. We hope that you are happy in the place you’re at. We know that God has you in his care and that you can now feel the relief that you waited your entire life for. Jay is dealing with things the best way he knows how. I know that time heals all wounds and for our own selfish reasons, we wish we could have you back just one more day. The reality is what it is and we are moving on slowly and surely. We pray everyday that you are at peace now.
Some sound advice for those of you that have not lost someone to suicide. If you even think for a second that someone you know or love is contemplating suicide, talk to them, get them the help they need. Sometimes those that talk about it will do it.
