A Lover in Disguise?

I began to cry really hard and I called Shawn and told him I broke it off with Jake he told me to calm down and he’d come over tomorrow and we could talk about it and how he had broken up with his girlfriend too. So I cried on and off all night. First I’d think about Jake then I’d think about Shawn and be happy all over again.

The next day finally came and I was thrilled that Shawn was coming over. I put on my new clothes I had bought a few days ago to originally impress Jake, but I decided this was a better occasion now. I straightened my hair, cleaned our house, and made sure everything was perfect. The doorbell rang. It was Shawn. I ran to the door, checked the mirror, smiled at it, then calmly opened the door. Shawn just gave me a grin and I gestured him to come inside. I took his coat introduced him to my mother and father and then we sat and talked I told him everything. After I was finished he paused and said, “Let’s watch a movie, you need to take your mind off of him.” I smiled and said all right.

So we put on a movie and sat down on the couch pretty close to each other. My parents had a friend over so they weren’t paying much attention to us. It was awesome. I put my hand down on the couch and Shawn put his next to mine we slowly inched our hand together then we were holding hands. My mom asked us if we wanted dinner so we ate and then watched the rest of our movie. Then we went upstairs into my room. We talked for a while again and then I went to hug Shawn but instead he kissed me. We were both so nervous I was actually trembling. We laid down on my bed and as we kissed, we just stopped and sort of laughed afterwards.

We went down stairs and by that time Shawn had to leave. He gave me one last kiss and said, “I had fun today”. I was in my glory I was so happy nothing could have made me sad until I remembered vacation coming up. My mother, father and I left for our week long vacation and I was so bored. I hated it and all I wanted to do was come home. Our friends we stayed with had the Internet thank god so I could stay in touch with Shawn. He told me just try and have fun and that I needed a vacation to get away from everything.

So I enjoyed myself a little bit until I received and email from Jake.
