Drama Queen

Just about a month ago I listened to my sister moan about her children. They never call! They never ask if we need anything! I think I’m going to call them and tell them that they can give us a day of their time, to help us around this house. Instead of gifts, I want their time. Why don’t they ever call!

Now a month later she has discovered that she has a tumor. Now guess what? These same selfish children rallied around her. They went with her to the doctors office to hear the results of her test. It was not the best, but isn’t life threatening, unless you want to give up. She is enjoying all the attention that she is getting. Especially from her one daughter.  

Should her husband or I suggest that she needs to do something, she gets irritated. However should the same suggestion come from her daughter … isn’t she wonderful! Says the Drama Queen. Let me be clear, she has great children. They are kind, and when they have time, they are considerate. As their aunt, I love them dearly. They tell her she is brave. B S It takes courage to want to live. Our grandmother would say, when someone young died, that they were lazy. To her, young was under 80. 

She has made all of her funeral arrangements, which I consider a good thing. However she makes no arrangements for living. She is not open to anything not suggested by her doctors. Even though she is only giving them three months to make her well, and as most doctors never study health she should keep all her options open.

Staying healthy is work. It is what you don’t know that will kill you. However, when I try to educate my sister, she puts her head in the sand. She does not want to hear it. She will not read it ‘The Drama Queen’ would rather die. 

Yes I am angry. Stupidity makes me angry.
