I’d like to take you on a journey
Don’t worry the cost is free
Just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride
Our destination? “The Brown Family Tree.”
Grandma was the seed that fell from
the branches of another great oak;
With Bill by her side and our “Grandmother’s Pride”
The seed took root and began to grow.
Dad is a powerful warrior,
with countless battles won,
Mom was exemplary as mother and wife;
The two shall be second to none.
Together they formed an alliance
that they sealed with a sacred vow.
This “trunk” has endured the toughest of storms
It stands firm for all time, even now!
Each of the branches are different,
but yet we are one in the same.
Give me the time, by the end of this rhyme
You’ll be able to call us by name.
Doodle’s the branch with the most wear and tear
He’s a warrior in his own right.
If the Black Panthers ever revolted again
You can best believe he’d fight.
Sister is next in our lineage
Her branch is freshly manicured
But if you’re in a jam, as too often I am
You can count on her for her support.
JB is the brother I worry about most;
I hope he’s using protection.
His branch looks bizarre, it even looks scarred,
It goes in all kinds of directions.
