I know I just can’t suddenly stop loving you. It’s just not that easy, even though you betrayed me. At first I thought I was going to die. I even contemplated it, but I knew it would devastate the girls. It was their faces along with their voices that I kept seeing and hearing echoing in the shadows of my vengeful thoughts. It was really starting to sink in that it was over between us. I guess love can sometimes leave you with that feeling of uncertainty,” he concluded, as he shifted his focus onto the flames of the candles.
