I feel without religion and Christ in ones life you become a lost soul. I am thankful to my father for emphasizing how important it is to go to church every Sunday and how important it is to pray to God daily not only for things we need in our lives, but also to thank him for the many blessings he has given us. For this reason I sought a spouse who is also Catholic and believes in raising our children Catholic. I would rather avoid any conflicts in an area of our lives that is the basis for our faith and family foundation.
While my dad is not perfect, as none of us are, he continues to emphasize how important God and family are in our lives. My dad has taught me many lessons about religion, education, and family, but most of all he has taught me that having faith in God and believing in Christ are what is most important in our lives. After all we all want to get to heaven but how we get there is based on the foundation we were raised on and how we treat other people around us. Thanks to my dad, and mom of course, I have been taught these lessons about life and I can now truly appreciate my upbringing, while I hope to raise my sons the same way, if not better.
Thank you Dad for all the good things you have done for our family and have taught us about life!
