I found him a place to stay, he got a job, I did too, of course it all didn’t work out for one reason or the other. He ends up in Brockton almost two hours from me with his junkie dad. I go out there just to make sure he was ok, and I get to him, broken down, dope sick, thirty pounds lighter than when I left him that day. I had to leave him there like that, it killed me. At this point in our relationship it was me and him against the world, and the world was winning. I wasn’t about the let that happen. I called his whole family, not one person would help, his mother cut all ties with them when he was a kid so they just didn’t give a shit about him at all. The last night of him being there with his loser father they got drunk and his uncle wanted to fight him, this hurt him so bad he called his mom crying. She actually picked him up, took him to a hotel, came got me the next day, told us the hotel was paid for the night she left. The hotel manager came to the door with cops saying we have to leave cause this room is not paid for.
Middle of January, zero below in Brockton, with no money and nowhere to go, it was Saturday night, no trains, no busses. We ended up sleeping under a tractor trailer, some bum made the place up, put couches, tables, and that blue tarp stuff so the wind wouldn’t come through. I was so scared but then I wasn’t cause I was with him. That was it, I was not leaving him way out there alone. I took him back called his sister and she found him a place to stay. Further away from me. Oh my god, I would kill for this kid, I would die for this kid what ever he needs I will get, all he needs is someone to give him a chance. He just couldn’t find that someone. With this living situation there was no way he could keep a job. With no job there was no way he could get out of the situation. But the moral of the story is that no matter what happens our love just got more and more intense, over whelming.
