My grandma lives in a big blue house. She has seven cats. She says each cat has its own special story. I suppose you want to know the names of all my grandma’s cats.
Smokey is the oldest cat. He is gray and loves to be petted. He used to belong to a seven-cats-in-the-house lady who moved to a different city and couldn’t take Smokey with her. So of course my grandma said Smokey could come and live with her.
Cleo comes next. She is very pretty and is what they call the Bengal breed. She looks kind of like a cream colored tiger. She sleeps in her basket in the kitchen and gets crabby sometimes. Cleo used to live in a different town in a house where the people had lots of Bengal cats.
Rak has a silly name because a man once said that is what his meow sounds like. Grandma wanted to call him Blackie because he is pure black. Rak came from across the country. He rode with grandma’s friend for a long time in the car.
Sugar is the prettiest cat. She is fluffy and cream colored. A relative’s dog found Sugar under a boat trailer in their backyard. It had been very cold for a long time. Sugar was about frozen and was very hungry. Grandma and Auntie Kelsey took good care of her and now she is happy and healthy. She lost a little bit of her ear when it got frozen.
Tek is a big, handsome, fluffy black cat. His previous owner just didn’t want to take care of Tek anymore. He likes to play and fight. He likes to hide and jump out to scare the other cats. Or he will just hide and pretend that nobody can see him.
Callie used to belong to Auntie Kelsey’s friend. They had another cat and the two cats didn’t get along with each other. Callie would love to be the only cat in the house. She loves to sleep in the basement on top of the hot water heater!
