Dogs make the world go round. When a person likes animals that person becomes more trusting. An animal can sense if you’re a bad person. Did you ever wonder how? They usually smell if you’re an animal lover. They smell who you’ve been talking to. I can trust them, dog smell, ok.
They do say sociopaths hurt animals and don’t like them. Now I would not totally stake my safety on my pup’s nose sense but nature does tell us a lot. I just say a person consists of layers of interests like an onion has layers. The less layers the more boring or predictable a person is. Remember “Alligator brain??” It is the primitive: eat, sleep, and procreate mentality ... very predictable.
Dogs place you in their pack. You just think you own them. They own you. From the moment you leave or get home. They throw “guilt monkeys” at you leaving them, and make you feel you’re the Alpha female/male of your home coming though the door.
If they are allowed on your bed (although some won’t publicly admit it they usually want to touch you. By your feet, behind your back facing the opposite way. Now that means, “I got your back, you cover mine.” That’s true. They watch for predators in the wild covering each other’s vulnerable backbone. Now where did we get that saying from? You only wish your friends cover your back in life.
Animals sense emotions too. If you’re happy, they grin too. If you’re sad, they like your tears and cuddle closer to reassure you. So give up and accept your position. Leader of the Pack.
