Some names seem inherently less attractive than others. A few names that I can’t seem to stomach are Ralph, Bertha, and Hyman. Of course, these superficialities mean little in light of a face-to-face introduction; physical attractiveness doesn’t change based on a subjectively unattractive name. But what about online or blind dating, where you may have little to go on except for a verbal description? Are there any names that you’d have a hard time dating?

Crystal and Tiffany remind me of cheap strippers, and I've never met a Linda I liked. Funny story though, there is actually a woman listed in the phone book as Margerita Vagina. Why, oh why, would you do that to your kid! Also, no dude should be named Brock unless he's on Venture Bros., and I'm no fan of Bailey for guys either. It's super cute for girls though.

If I met anyone named Hyman, I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face (I'm so immature). I find names like Milton, Marvin, Herman, Bertha, and Gladys to be ... not to my liking. I'm sure there are more. Nothing against anybody with these names! I'm sure if I met somebody named Milton who was a cool dude, I might change my mind. But it hasn't happened yet!

Cheesy names...Oh, I'm just kiddin', darlin'! An early April Fool's pun. Any given name longer than four syllables, I find rather pretentious and really snobbish... but that's just me.

Hyman? Isn't that part of the female reproductive system? There was once a guy in my second grade class called Harris, we called him Harry, last name Butt. I am not lying. So, back to the question ... turn-off names: Gertrude, Gilbert, Dudley ... plus many more, I'm sure.
