You know you’re a strange person when the highlight of your day is when your big, dirty, temporary trash bin arrives from the local trash dump. But it’s amazing how revitalizing it is to throw stuff away! My wife and I are on a “clean out the old crap” campaign in our house this week—which started up again when we posted the article “Energy and the Law of Attraction …Whatever,” on Our Inner Source website.
Being married for all of two weeks now, the integration of personal “stuff” is in full swing. I think I’ve been a true sport about giving up some of “my space” for her (what seems to be), totally unnecessary items. But then again, my having two storage bins that contain nothing but broken computer parts and miles of knotted wires may be considered unnecessary by some—I suppose.
Like jumping into what you know is going to be a cold swimming pool—you just have to stop thinking and JUMP—and to be perfectly honest, once I got over the emotional bonds I had with my stuff, things started flying out of the garage. Goodbye broken camera, goodbye pile of scrap wood, goodbye box of beer glasses from college days … wait, I can hide that in my closet—no one will be the wiser …
