Feeling like I knew you when
throughout all time I’ve loved you then
when the world was young and green
when our love was raw and keen
Throughout our lives we met and loved
and in our hearts we knew
we found ourselves in love again
and we loved again anew.
This last time upon this earth
I saw you stand upon the shore
gazing past what you could not see
as I looked back I saw you then
but you didn’t know ‘twas me.
And at the last we met again
this time it cannot be
I’ll see you in the after life
and for eternity.
