Proverbial Woman, Chapter 6, Part II

But we on the other hand, we are reflective creatures. We are mostly analytical in our efforts of understanding the nature of things. We are creatures of our imaginative thoughts, those often causing friction between the intent of our hearts, and the indifference of our souls. In contrast, I think you women are more in tune with nature. Which makes you more vulnerable to conditions of change, particularly those involving your emotions.

But there is also your display of tenderness that beholds a certain kind of strength that attributes to the beauty inside you. If I’m inclined to say, and speaking in a physical sense…” he paused as he glanced over at me. “I would have to say you women are the most intriguing, and yet beautiful beings of all of God’s creations.
There are many things that come to mind when I think of your beauty in a physical sense…like, the supple slopes of your shoulders. The way you look in high-heels…not to mention when you’re walking. The way you can communicate with your eyes and your smile. God, there is so much to speak of. Far too much for me to even begin to put into words.”

‘There he goes again…’ I thought to myself as I began to tremble with unbridled intensity. Momentarily lowering my eyes in attempt of hiding this moment of coming undone, I aimlessly caught glimpse of Verona, as she sat across from me staring out into the room. While slowly turned away, my eyes briefly caught glimpse of her tenderly running her fingers up and down the length of her glass.

Apparently consumed in her thoughts. Silently I began to watch as she softly ran the bulbs of her fingers over beads of condensation that had formed its surface. Refraining from exertion of drawing a connection between what Dominic had just said and what she could actually be thinking, I subtly found myself evading further analysis.

“Young man, that was quite a response. I’m deeply moved by that. You speak so eloquent of their beauty. Perhaps you can teach me a thing or two,” Tom jokingly added.
