Proverbial Woman, Chapter 7, Part VI

By: Grey Sparrow (View Profile)

To this day many are struggling with their remorse, which at the same time, are professing their need to right their wrongs. For the most part they are hauntingly carrying around feelings that will surely go gravely unsettled.

After repeatedly asking spouses and relatives living with someone going through Jules debilitating illness what once mattered the most in their relationship, time after time I’ve heard them speak of moments spent together that cannot be recalled in mutual memory of conversation. Like a special day, or name of their children. Or something that once drove them apart, and later brought them closer.

In absence of companionship, many have said they’d experienced feelings of being emotionally trapped, suffering through bouts of reflection. Depressingly submerged, sometimes dwelling more on concluding lesson learned, than that of the experiences themselves.

With time seeming unkind, and yet of longing proportions, it has been said it is the hopeful perspective that provides temporal comfort. Mostly a sense of peace, which on one hand offers up joy and pain in recollection of experiences once shared. While on the other, a questionable sense of responsibility. That is, knowing that you are the keeper such ties that bind.
