Not many men are as abusive to their wives and children as the author’s husband was.

Expect and accept nothing less, than your husband treat you with dignity and respect.

The author admits if she had listened to her daddy’s advice and the “small voice” inside her, she could have avoided unnecessary heartache.

After living in abuse for eighteen years the author decided to write this book to help men and women who are/who have experienced verbal, physical, or emotional abuse. God has a plan for each of you.

You must forgive your transgressors, divorce your past, and be prepared for your future. In the same way that God delivered Israel, HE will deliver you!

Praise God for your survival because you know that it is by HIS mercy that you are still here.

The author’s husband played the organ for the church and she shares worshippers swayed and clapped to the sounds of an anointed music ministry—led by her husband.

She would sing and her husband would play the organ.

Her husband played the organ, piano, drums, and saxophone.

They were a perfect musical team.

One Sunday evening after church her husband punched her in the head! The force was so strong her head hit the window.

Later in life her husband asked her parents if he could marry her. Her dad was upset over this matter. Her dad told her “I won’t stop you, but I am not in agreement with it.”

Her husband did not like her developing friendships. He was afraid she would tell her friend how he was mistreating her.

One day her husband beat her with a belt. She thought the attack would last forever.
