Why Do Men Hit Women and Why Do Women Allow It?

Question: Why do men hit women and why do women allow it?

Answer: Because they can and women do.

In both cases (the hitting and the allowing) women are actually in control.

Most women (in a free society), can walk away but choose not to until they can no longer walk away physically, emotionally, financially … safely. It is women who bring up tomorrows men under the impression that it is okay to hit or disrespect other women by accepting this behavior in front of their children. These “men” don’t give birth to themselves and then bring themselves up.

As women, we have a universal role as primary nurturer. More of us need to play it.

As women, we have unique roles and obligations as sisters, mothers, aunts, etc. More of us need to perform them.

As women we are capable of making the weakest man strong and the strongest man weak. More of us need to be aware of that.

This is not about me letting men off the hook entirely in this post.

It is more the case of too many women letting men off the hook in life.
