In Need of Relationship Advice

He admits that he’s with her to make me jealous and to get rid of the pain of our relationship ending and says she is just like me. It wasn’t even a month when they began dating after we broke up. They are intimate the first night they met and a month later they move in together and I later learned he was evicted from his previous apartment and she took him in.

Now he realizes that I’m not going to take him back. I cant, as much as it hurts, I love myself much more then put myself through that pain.

Because she is taking care of him completely, with the swipe of her mother’s credit card, he is going through better times now. I guess, he treats her better then he did me. One wrong move, and he is back on the streets. Even though every time he talks to me, he talks about how miserable he is and how his dark past affects their relationship, and apologizes profusely for everything that he did and that he has not been able to forgive himself since then. Again, I digress.

Fast forward to now:

She quits school for him, and they move far far away, thank goodness. They are living a seemingly happy life, with him bothering me in the process.

He wont let me get away—finding me on facebook, AIM, etc. (You would think ignoring someone would give them a hint.) He also asks his friends to keep tabs on me and see how I’m doing with school and if I am with anyone.

But today I got disturbing news. After a couple of years of them being together, I find out that they are engaged and expecting a child. It literally felt like an arrow pierced through my heart and drained out all the blood. He was the person I know I can never and should never be with, but still for some reason in the back of my mind, I still care about. This was from the same man who said that he didn’t want any kids or marriage until he was almost thirty, until he got his life together, he is currently in his early twenties, and the girl is barely twenty-one! I know that is to trap her to continue to take care of him. If they are married then he’s set for life.
