I am currently twelve weeks pregnant with my third baby and one day my older children were asking me how the baby eats. I thought a minute and wondered how to explain to an eight year old and a nine year old boy how a mother feeds a newborn baby.
I finally explained to them that my “boobies” (their word) was where mommies store the milk and the babies get to drink it. My youngest son thought a minute and asked if one was vanilla and one chocolate, I said sure. After all, he was worried about the baby not having his favorite drink, chocolate milk. I did not want to see him try to share his chocolate milk in a few months with the new baby.
My oldest then popped off and said “Mommy, your a cow and the baby is going to milk you?” I tried to scold him and say no I was not a cow, but he was so accurate how could I tell him know while I was laughing so hard. After all, it is true. The baby will milk me like a farmer milks cows. I told him it is kinda like that but it is not nice to call people names. He has dropped it, but if he moo’s at me while I am feeding the baby we will have to have a talk!
