All parents deal with this issue—even the smug ones who say: “My kids are such good eaters.” Come on, do they actually eat their brussle sprouts? What are your tricks to get your kids to consume essential vitamins and nutrients that aren’t in gummy bear pill form? Do you add strained veggies to tomato sauce? Smother your broccoli with cheese? Or do you resort to drastic measures like dyeing certain veggies fun colors? Sound off with us! Share with your fellow DivineCaroline parents. Click “WRITE A COMMENT” and chime in.

My pediatrician gave me some brilliant advice. He said not to scrutinize my child’s daily meals, but to review my child's diet over the course of a week. This made more sense than fretting over his enthusiasm for one meal and complete avoidance of the next. As for veggies, I've been known to hide them in applesauce out of desperation. He must notice this. If he’s feeling mischievous, he’ll fish the vegetable out with his tongue and spit it out. If not, he eats it – probably out of pity.
