None of us outgrow our need for words of encouragement. And as my kids leave the nest and fly away, I am finding they still look homeward for a kind word to keep their hearts encouraged and their wings spread wide.
I am not giving definitions to words anymore, but it thrills me and humbles me to know that I am still giving definitions. I am still in place where I can give meaning when clarity and hope is needed. And the best part is, my children are learning to do the same.
And that’s something worth writing home about.
