Another Time I Embarassed My Husband

We set a new record this week. We didn't go out for dinner even once. Not because we didn't want too but my husband has been working twelve hour days to get a new Legends restaurant opening in West Des Moines on 50th (plug) finished and ready to open next week.

And now that Outback took my two favorite dishes off the menu two weeks ago, we won't be going there again. Why do restaurants do that? I remember when I was pregnant and went to Panera four to five times a week to have their Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

Then one day we walked in and the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad sign was GONE. Yes...GONE, I say. I asked to speak to the manager (I was 7 months pregnant—it must have been a hormonal thing) and expressed my discontent about have my favorite pregnancy craving taken off the menu before I had given birth.

The nice manager said, "Just a minute, I have something for you" and walked into the kitchen. He came out holding a huge bag full off the extra dressing they still had for the salad and bags of the apple chips they put on it. Wasn't that nice of the him?

Or maybe he just didn't want to get beaten up by a seven month pregnant WDM soccer mom. Although, it's not like I could've caught him if he had run away.
