Rethinking Your Relationship with Food

If you are interested in longevity and health I would urge you to Google or research acid and alkaline foods. You will be amazed to learn from different Web sites how the wrong acid foods may shorten your life. Conversely, fruits and vegetables with lots of alkaline type foods may promote health. A little research into this could add productive years to your life and you will enjoy your old age, rather than dread it.

Many of the things we associate with old age, sickness and death have their basis in the wrong diet or one that filled with toxic, acidic foods of little value.

I believe that attitude is critical to health and successful food digestion. A good sense of humor and a light hearted approach to life can help the body stay well. Anger, rage, hatred and negative feelings can promote body acidity and contribute to poor food digestion.  Finally, food is an investment in health. Years ago, when I complained about high food prices, my father would say, “If you do not spend it in the food store, you will spend it in the pharmacy …”

Great article! I am an exercise science - health promotion major and love to read articles like this. They get me thinking and also challenge my knowledge in certain areas. I especially liked the ideas of having that scale that helps you know when you've gone overboard and also the idea of the things we do and eat now have an impact on the how we live our life in the future.
