If You Plant It, the Bees Will Come

If you are really keen on making sure bees have a place to nest, you can help them by creating bee “homes.” All this entails is drilling deep holes, about 1/2-inch apart, into some scrap lumber and then hanging it from your house or trees.

Though small in scale, our gardens can help foster a healthy native bee population. And it is a great excuse for not pulling the weeds.
